Holli Careswell, D.D.S.
Owner/Dentist
Dr. Careswell grew up in Lee’s Summit, and is a graduate of Lee’s Summit High School. She attended dental school at UMKC School of Dentistry, and graduated with honors in the top 5% of her class, earning both a bachelor’s and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She also completed an elite honors surgical program during dental school, receiving honors for her work in TMJ disorders. Since then, she has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education, mostly focusing on cosmetic and implant dentistry and facial esthetic procedures. While she enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, she is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Careswell has been recognized as one of Kansas City’s Top Dentists by Kansas City 435 magazine for the past five years. She is known for her beautiful cosmetic dentistry, and was recently featured on the Emmy® Award-winning Netflix original series “Queer Eye,” where she provided an emotional smile makeover to a very worthy recipient. (You can see her in action by watching Season 3, Episode 3!)
In addition to running her practice, Dr. Careswell is also on the Forbes Health Advisory Board, a group of board-certified clinicians who review articles, advise on content and help people make simpler, smarter and less stressful decisions regarding their health. And she is a busy wife and mom of two boys (and two dogs)—spending her off time watching sporting events, boating, working out, skiing and honing her photography skills.

Jacob Anderson, D.D.S.
Owner/Dentist
What does Dr. Anderson’s job entail? Anything to do with teeth and smiles, from performing
routine exams to addressing dental emergencies. A native Kansan, Dr. Anderson grew up right
here in Lee’s Summit, and graduated from Lee’s Summit West in 2006.
He went on to the University of Kansas (go, Jayhawks!), where he graduated with highest
distinction with a Human Biology degree, then continued his education at the UMKC School of
Dentistry with a scholarship from the United States Army. He graduated cum laude in 2014 with
a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Anderson received advanced education in general dentistry with a residency at Fort Sill,
Oklahoma, where he acquired new skills and gained valuable experience in root canals, crowns,
oral surgery and esthetic dentistry. He completed his military commitment there, and considers it
an honor to have served soldiers and helped with their complex dental needs.
Dr. Anderson has been married to his wife (our very own Dr. Teegarden) since 2017. They have
two young sons—and two equally energetic dogs—who they enjoy spending time with. He also
loves being outdoors, playing golf, watching the Jayhawks, and cooking. He’s excited about
being back home and helping the community he grew up him.
Dr. Tiffany Teegarden
Associate Dentist
As an associate dentist in our office, Dr. Teegarden practices dentistry for the whole
family—from pediatric fillings to complete dentures. (And all the extractions, crowns, bridges
and more in between.) She particularly loves seeing children—watching them grow up and
keeping their mouths healthy in the process!
Dr. Teegarden has a passion for serving others, and is proud to use her scientific knowledge and
artistic eye and abilities to help her patients achieve a smile that not only looks, but functions and
feels, great. When she’s not seeing her own patients—or filling in for other dentists, hygienists,
receptionists and even the IT and fix-it guys), you’ll find her busy at home, quilting, crafting, and
taking care of her two boys (who—fun fact—she shares with her husband, our very own Dr.
Anderson).
Jenay Brown
Certified Dental Assistant
As her title suggests, Jenay assists Dr. Careswell during patient procedures. But more than that, her kindness and understanding helps ease patients’ anxieties and fears while they are in the chair. Jenay loves interacting with different personalities from day to day, and providing our clients with a personalized experience. If you see her, ask her what her favorite karaoke song is—it’s one of her go-to weekend activities, along with bowling, boating and enjoying a great glass of wine. She also loves spending time with her husband of 32 years, three grown children and two dogs.
Kelly Reid
Dental Hygienist
Kelly knows a healthy mouth is a happy one—which is why she focuses not just on teeth cleaning, but the prevention and treatment of oral diseases. She loves being a part of making people smile and improving their self esteem, and those who sit in her chair will be quick to tell you that she is easygoing and delivers high-quality care. When she’s not taking care of patients, you’ll find Kelly traveling, boating and spending time with her family.
Jordan Jenkins
Dental Hygienist
Examinations. Cleanings. Preventative procedures. Patient education. As one of our dental hygienists, Jordan does it all. She loves making patient connections and educating them (and the community) on the importance of good dental health. She also knows the importance of a healthy lifestyle—which is why you’ll find her traveling and doing outdoor activities on the weekends.
Amy McClure
Front Desk
Amy’s one of the first people you’ll see when you come into the office. She’s our greeter, phone answerer, insurance verifier and appointment scheduler. But one duty she does that isn’t on her job description? Being a go-to for motherly advice. She has a lot of it, considering she has three teenage boys. When she’s not at work, chances are she’s at the soccer field watching her kids. She also loves renovating houses, gardening and landscaping, trying new recipes and restaurants—or just spending a nice quiet night at home doing absolutely nothing.
Joy Durland
Accounts Receivable
Joy is our numbers gal. Filing claims, processing payments—and (her favorite activity), letting insurance companies know they were wrong. Of course, some may say her most important job around here is being the financial office’s DJ, with a playlist that makes insurance red tape feel a little more enjoyable. Joy and her husband have one son and live on the lake, where she loves hanging out on the dock, baking, gardening, quilting and playing bass guitar. Oh, and if you want to know anything about our office history, Joy’s your go-to. She’s been here since 1988.
Melinda Taylor
Dental Assistant
As our dental assistant, Melinda makes sure everyone’s needs are met—from the doctors to the patients. She loves seeing our regular patients (and meeting new ones), and making sure they leave with a healthy smile. As for what makes her smile? Her husband and teenage son—who she loves watching play football and basketball—along with relaxing weekends at the lake.
Abbie Seevers
Hygiene Assistant/Front Desk
Abbie is an incredibly hard-working individual willing to jump in wherever needed. She assists the hygienist with anything from taking x-rays to polishing. She even extends her help to the front desk answering phones, scheduling and checking patients in. Abbie truly loves working in this multifaceted role because she builds many relationships with patients and coworkers.
Debra Cloninger
Billing, Insurance and Treatment Plans
Known as the “Insurance Guru”, Debi is passionate about helping patients come up with an affordable way to meet their dental needs. Her goal is to make every patient’s dental experience as stress-free as possible.
As a fun-loving mom of six children and 11 grandchildren, she lives for family game nights, golfing, cooking and the Kansas City Chiefs!
Mary Anderson
Dental and Hygiene Assistant
A returning veteran of the dental field Mary spends her workday chair-side assisting Dr. Teegarden as well as filling as a hygiene assistant as needed.
While spending the past 19 years at home raising her two boys, Caleb and Jack, her passion for health and wellness carried on through teaching yoga, group exercise and even entering women’s physique bodybuilding competitions.
We also thank Mary for proudly serving in the Air National Guard 139th Airlift Wing!
Denise Leabo
Receptionist
Denise Leabo is the welcoming and impeccably organized Receptionist at Careswell and Anderson. With 29 years of experience as an esteemed teacher in the Lee’s Summit School District, Denise seamlessly manages phone calls, appointments, payments, and patient enrollments.
Originally from Independence, Missouri, Denise holds degrees from the University of Missouri and has been an active part of the Lee’s Summit community since 2002 with her husband and two grown children. Beyond her professional life, she relishes spending time with family, friends, and her three cats, indulging in shopping, walks, and travel. Co-workers appreciate her kindness, organizational skills, and humorous use of her “teacher voice.”
